The Premium Ford Mustang Mach-E GT EV Starts At $ 59,900

Ford has revealed more information about the features and performance of the Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition, along with very important prices. The Mach-E GT, which accounts for 30% of Mach-E bookings, will start at $ 59,900 ($ 61,000 with destination fees), while the Performance edition is priced at $ 64,900 or more.

For this amount, buyers will get 480 horsepower on both models, with a torque of 600 nm on the Mach-E GT and 634 nm on the Performance edition. This will take you from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.8 seconds and 3.5 seconds, respectively - enough to keep up with the performance of the $ 62,190 Tesla. However, the Model Y Performance can travel 315 miles on a load, compared to 250 and 235 miles for GT and Edition, respectively.

Ford notes that the Mach-E GT versions have the same power as the V8 Mustang Mach 1, but offer much higher torque. However, with an initial price of $ 53,000, the Mach 1 ICE version is about nine thousand cheaper.

The Performance edition will come with an "Unbridled Extend" mode, a "trackless and closed route" version of the regular Unbridled mode. This will put traction and stability control systems in an easy-to-follow configuration, while "balancing" the output power for lap time consistency. "

Other unique features for GT models include a lighted pony logo on the front grille with a GT badge on the back and sewn into the centre console. They also come with Brembo red brake callipers and an "orange cybernetic" paint option. The Performance Edition receives its own special badge, along with 20-inch wheels, Pirelli tires, Ford Performance seats, an aluminium instrument panel and standard magnetorheological shock absorbers, probably to allow for better-tuned travel performance.
